Project 1: To purchase a proposed property for Furqaan Academy (One of the latest and Most Unique Islamic Schools in USA)

Vision of Furqaan Academy

Furqaan Academy aims to create and empower generations of students who will :

• Be confident of their Muslim identity in America and will Insha-Allah grow up as Daiee’ iIa Allah (callers to Allah SWT) in the west.
• Pursue and excel in any field of study with a strong grounding in Islamic Knowledge, thus able to articulate the message of Islam in their respective fields through practice and preaching of divine Guidance.
• Display exemplary Islamic morals and characters.
• Have a strong foundation in both classical and modern Arabic.
• Be contributing leaders and members of the Ummah by being able to meet the diverse challenges in today’s world and prove the message of Islam intellectually, morally, spiritually and ideologically.

Location

The proposed property is at a prime location in Bolingbrook, IL to serve the needs of the Western and Southwestern suburbs of Chicago including Aurora, Bolingbrook, Burr Ridge, Crest Hill, Darien, Hinsdale, Joliet, Lockport, Lemont, Naperville, Oswego, Plainfield, Romeoville, Sherwood, Willow brook and Woodridge. The location is very easily accessible from any freeway in Chicago because of being off I-55, I-355 and Rt 53 of IL.

Property Details

The proposed property is an 18,000 sq ft solid concrete building situated in Bolingbrook, IL. The building will Insha-Allah be hosting 24 rooms and cover Pre-K through 12th grade classes. Besides this, there will be Insha-Allah a 1200 sq.ft Musalla, a 4000 sq.ft play area, parking lot with 48 parking spaces, bookstore, cafeteria, computer labs and science labs with the latest teaching technologies. It will also include the corporate offices of Al Furqaan Foundation.

Current Need

The projected total cost of property purchase and construction is approximately U.S. $1.5 million.

$ 1.2 million (property) + $ 300,000 (modification cost approx) = $ 1.5 million

Project Time-Line

The proposed project is to house Furqaan Academy for the next 5-10 years Insha-Allah. Once the Academy moves to a different location in future, then this building will be converted to a rental office building as a source of income for the Academy Insha-Allah.

Project 2: Al Furqaan Foundation Headquarters, Full time Islamic school and Islamic University Plan

Location

Very accessible to all of Chicago Land, almost at the intersection of I-55 and Route 53 in Bolingbrook.

Vision

The proposed project will host the following institutions Insha-Allah:

• Complete Islamic University of Qur’anic Sciences along with evening and weekend adult education. Our vision is to establish a unique University of Qur’anic Sciences Insha-Allah-the first of it’s kind in North America. It will be the pioneer and leader in the field of Qur’an centered education and research. Memorization, Uloomul Qur’an, Qur’anic Arabic, Tafseerul Qur’an, Qur’an and Natural Sciences, Qur’an and Social Sciences, Qur’an and Dawa, Aqeedah, Quran and Law are some among other departments that the University will hold Insha-Allah. The goal of the university will be to produce followers of Qur’an in knowledge and practice based on the model society of the Blessed companions in Madinah.

Property Description

82,185 sq ft land with 8:1 parking ratio available. The property is 30 minutes from Downtown Chicago and 20 minutes from Midway airport.

Cost

Valued at $9 million, we are confident that Insha-Allah we can negotiate the purchase price to $ 6 million. We anticipate an additional $(1-2) million for build out & modifications.

Project 3: Building a comprehensive Islamic Center with Full-time Islamic School and much needed Islamic Burial Services

Services

The proposed project will provide the following services to the community:

• It will offer complete Islamic Janaza (burial) services along with Muslim graveyard close to the far southwest suburbs of Chicago.
• It will house a branch of one of the most unique Islamic schools in the entire country (Furqaan Academy).
• There will be a full-fledged Masjid.

Location

Area: 10 acres of land + another 10 acres possibly available

Current Status

Price has been negotiated from $ 2.4 million to $1.2 million. We are waiting for funding to start the project Insha-Allah. Once funding is available, and then the current price will still be negotiable Insha-Allah.

$ 1.2 million + $ half a million (approx modification cost)

Yearly Expense

Approximate yearly expense would be $100,000.00 to $150,000.00. We’re looking at the project in three phases Insha-Allah:

• Phase I: Building the Full Time Islamic School with the gym area used as a Musallah: $ 3 million for school building and set-up, another $ 2 million for 3 years of operational costs. After 3 years, approximately $200,000/year donations needed to offset operational defecits.
• Phase II: Building of a full-fledged Masjid.
• Phase III: Buying and preparing Muslim Burial Ground for the community.

Project 4: Building a self sufficient Dawah center in the inner-city of South-Side Chicago

Purpose:

The proposed project will provide the following services Insha-Allah:

• A Dawah/Islamic center in south side Chicago operated by revert muslims of the same community catering to the speacial needs of south-side neighborhoods.
• Providing social services and calling people to the teachings of Islam in order to restructure the society in the light of Qur’an and sunnah.
• Implementing programs like soup kitchen, feeding the poor, cleaning the neighborhood, doing street dawah, free classes for new muslims, family and youth counseling and other similar programs.
• Raising awareness against drugs, crimes, STDs and other social ills.
• A place to house a full fledged Masjid.
• Hosting a number of rental units to make the center financially self-sufficient. Expected income is $7,800/ per month from rent

The proposed property is currently a 12-unit apartment building in Bronzville neighborhood of southside Chicago. The property needs modification to build the Masjid and Dawa center.
