• Be fluent in English and Urdu or Arabic
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-tasks with exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Responsibilities:
  • Phone solicitation to raise donations
  • Follow-up with contacts
  • Mail & track packets that sent out to donors
• Compensation:$7.50 – $9.00 hourly

1. Schedule Jumuah Fundraisers in your zone.
2. Make One Minute Announcement and collect donations.
3. Develop relations with local Masajids and other Islamic Organizations.
4. Coordinate Dawah Activities and market Foundation and its principles.

Al Furqaan Foundation is seeking an Executive Director in its Chicagoland location.  The Executive Director will be the sole interface between the President and the Staff.  The individual must posses the following skills: exdeptional interpersonal, communication, plannin, resource, development, operations and financial management, fundraising, partnering and relationship building ability.  The ideal will be a social entrepreneur and have the specific responsibilities below.

1. Public Relations
   • Represent the Foundation within the community and at conventions
   • Supervise the development of public relations media to effectively present the BOS message to the public
   • Actively solicit new and existing funding sources
   • Actively participate with motivational speakers/fundraisers in fundraising efforts
   • Liaison between President and Staff, also liaison between all divisions of Al Furqaan and the community and media
2. Administrative
   • Assure integrity of all Foundation services and functions
   • Ensure accurate accountable statistics and reports presenting a clear interpretation of the Foundation’s position including compliance with all President and Board directives
   • Assure all staff is in compliance with the established procedural activities and procedures
   • Communicate to the President and Board all relevant information regarding Foundation functions and status, and present new avenues of generating revenue
   • Prepare administrative policies for President approval
3. Supervisory
   • Direct, coordinate and supervise all Foundation functions in accordance with the established procedures and policies assuring compliance, accountability and performance
   • With the Office Manager and President evaluate and review the performance of subordinate staff members
   • Oversee the work of staff’s day to day duties
4. Scope of Authority
   • The Executive Director is directly accountable to the President in all matters relating to the proper conduct and effective administration of the Foundation
   • The position is to a great extent, governed by the policies, directives, and duties assigned/established by the President
5. Experience/Job Skills Required
   • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent work experience
   • 2 – 5 years of supervisory experience
   • Excellent fundraising and solicitation experience is a must
   • Demonstrated enthusiasm for Deen work
6. Compensation
   • 20K – 28K yearly
