Furqaan Institute of Qur’anic Healing, launched in 2008 as a division of Al-Furqaan Foundation, was founded with the vision of displaying the power of the Qur’an and to revive the neglected, misused and misunderstood authentic sunnahs of Ruqyah (spiritual/Qur’anic healing) and Prophetic Medicines (Tibb an Nabawi) for holistic healing within the ummah. Besides these services, FIQH also provides much needed counseling services from a Qur’anic perspective for families, young adults, teen-agers, parent-children relationships and addiction issues.
- Over 37 clients obtained our services during the year, many with multiple sessions. While hoping to charge nominal donations, almost all these clients were seen for free at our Addison, IL headquarters
- A state of the art center in Arlington, Texas (a suburb of Dallas) called the “FIQH DFW Spiritual Healing Center” under the leadership of Sheikh Shakib, launched in December offering Shariah Ruqiya and counseling services like our Addison location. It also expanded the services to include Hijamah performed by a licensed acupuncturist. As of now the new centers calendar gets booked daily with clients coming from all over the country
- Our www.fiqh.org website is vibrant with lots of articles and audio recordings pertaining to Qur’anic healing and Islamic counseling
- We produced all intake forms and confidential record keeping procedures for our clients and to limit our legal risks
- We have initiated a preliminary “Pre-Marital counseling” program to provide appropriate classes for young couples looking to get married. We hope to aggressively market this program next year, insha’Allah
