2009 – A Year In Review

Furqaan Academy which opened its doors in 2008 is one of the most unique Hifz and Islamic Schools in Chicago and one of the few in the country. Alhamdulillah the achievements are too many to list, but to highlight a few:

1. We doubled our enrollment from 33 last year to about 60 students this year, making us one of the fastest growing Islamic Schools in Chicago
2. We identified, negotiated and contracted the purchase of a building for our school for $1.2Million right next to the Bolingbrook Masjid where the school is currently operating. We have also obtained the village special use permit to operate a school in the building. We are insha’Allah days from finalizing the purchase provided the finances come through in time
3. Our aggressive ad campaigns have made Furqaan Academy a household name in Chicago
4. Our unique pioneering curriculum of integrating Hifz (complete memorization) of the Qur’an, Arabic as a second language with a state approved curriculum that includes language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science has received wide attention from local as well as out of state Islamic schools to emulate
5. Our students have excelled in interschool competitions in various subjects
